Praying in Color

Sybil, thanks for sharing this! It struck me deeply, especialyl at this time of life when our family is in extreme sorrow over our grandson’s recent diagnosis of Elipesy. Andre’ has one of the rarest forms of Epliepsy with virtually nothing on the books about it so everyhting is a test and case study. We have seen a vibrant, now ten year old, go from bright and funny and smart to now hardly being able to remember the simplist things such as tying his shoes or numbers or how to spell words as simple as “eat!” some days he does not even remember his dad or grandparents! We are trusting God for everything and the outcome, no matter what, but I do pray a lot of those “HELP” prayers! I think your coloring was perfect and striking!

Oh, Cherylann, this is definitely, a “Help” situation. The feeling of powerlessness mounts, I think, when our grandchildren are affected. Sometimes my “help” words do come sputtering out in what a friend calls “passionate begging.” I think that’s just fine with God too. Thank you for your daily prayer emails this holiday season. It has kept me walking the one-day-at-a time steps through Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany–my favorite time of the year. God’s Peace. Sybil
