Sitting with Jesus in a Cereal Bowl

August 5, 2012 by Sybil Macbeth 1 Comment Leave a Comment

My grumpy self knew I needed to spend some alone time with God today. It was hot and muggy and I was irritable.  I didn’t feel doodly creative so I grabbed a cereal bowl and drew around it. it was just the safe and contained framework I needed to get started in prayer.

Thanks for posting Sybil – I really needed this today. Thanks for the inspiration to really get back into my prayer journal. We just lost a friend of the family suddenly and am really having troubles to come to grips what happened with her sudden death. You ‘visual’ prayers are a wonderful inspiration. And through this process, I have seen my faith grow in many ways that are difficult to explain.
